About us

The Danish Medicines Agency is an agency under the Ministry for Health and Prevention.

It is our aim that medicinal products used in Denmark are of satisfactory quality, are safe to use and that they have the desired effect. We do so by administering the Danish legislation on:

• medicinal products
• reimbursement
• pharmacies
• medical devices
• euphoriants.

Assignments

The Danish Medicines Agency's main assignments are to authorise and control medicinal products and companies, including pharmacies, and to monitor the economy and consumption of medicinal products.
