Annual report on human tissues and cells shows continued rise in tissue establishment activity

The annual report for human tissues and cells for 2010 shows that there are altogether 56 tissue establishments and 40 gynaecology clinics authorised to handle human tissues and cells in Denmark.

In the period 2007 to 2010, the number of tissue establishments operating in Denmark has thus increased. Since the implementation of the Danish Tissue Act, an additional 15 tissue establishments have been authorised by the Danish Medicines Agency, whereas only seven have discontinued their activities.
