Pharmacy licensing

Should you wish to set up or run a pharmacy, you must have a license for this purpose. The Danish Medicines Agency advertises the existing licenses available to pharmacies, for example, on this website.

Applications for available licenses should be sent to the Danish Medicines Agency, which evaluates the applicants and informs the Minister for Health and Prevention of the most suitable applicants for the pharmacy in question. The Danish Medicines Agency's recommendations can be seen on this website.

On the basis of the Danish Medicines Agency's recommendation, the Minister decides who should receive the license.
