New Director of Division for Pharmacovigilance & Medical Devices
Jens Piero Quartarolo will take up the position as Director of Division for Pharmacovigilance & Medical Devices on 1 January 2018.
Jens Piero Quartarolo has been appointed new Director of Division for Pharmacovigilance & Medical Devices and will form part of the Danish Medicines Agency's leadership team.
Jens Piero Quartarolo has many years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry and comes from an executive position in the US-based company Celgene, engaging primarily in medicines for cancer patients. In this position, Jens Piero Quartarolo was responsible for immunology and inflammation in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Moreover, Jens Piero Quartarolo has worked in general practice as well as within the areas of gynaecology and obstetrics, and later on with clinical duties in Denmark and abroad, where also engaged in research activities. Previously, Jens Piero Quartarolo worked in MSD, Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Organon/Schering-Plough and US-based biotech company Abbvie and has extensive knowledge of both clinical research, pharmacovigilance, registration of medicinal products and communication of medical information.
Jens Piero Quartarolo, or Pierre as everybody calls him, will join the Danish Medicines Agency on 1 January 2018.
