Interactive map of clinical trials in the EU now available in all EU languages
The interactive map provides patients, healthcare professionals and everyone else with easy access to current information about clinical trials conducted throughout the EU, Norway and Iceland, and it has just been made available in all EU languages.
The interactive map was launched in March earlier this year via a website of the Accelerating Clinical Trials in the EU initiative (ACT EU). The map delivers data from the Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS) in which all clinical trials in the EU must be registered.
Until now, the map was only available in English, but as of today it is available in all EU languages.
“It is very beneficial for patients considering participation in a clinical trial and for healthcare professionals that the interactive map and its search functionality are now available in Danish.
Still, users should keep in mind that searches for clinical trials are based on the content of the documents related to the clinical trial application. Users may therefore experience that searches in Danish will return fewer ‘hits’ than searches in English, which is often the language used in applications,” says Lene Grejs Petersen, Special Adviser at the Danish Medicines Agency.
The interactive map may be accessed here: https://euclinicaltrials.eu/search-for-clinical-trials/trial-map/?lang=en (chose language at the top right, and then select ‘advanced search criteria’).
